Join the Coonabarabran community for an evening of celebration, recognition, and entertainment at the Australia Day Celebrations & Awards.
The night will include the presentation of Warrumbungle Shire Council and local Australia Day Awards, recognising individuals and groups whose efforts strengthen and inspire our community.
Guests will also hear from Australia Day Ambassador Amar Singh, an Australian humanitarian and community leader, and the founder and president of Turbans 4 Australia. Amar is widely recognised for delivering food hampers and disaster-relief support across Australia, while championing multicultural understanding and community service. He was honoured as the 2023 Local Hero of Australia for his outstanding work supporting communities impacted by bushfires, drought, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The evening will be enhanced by live performances from The Orbital Swing Band, the Community Choir, and the Men’s Choir. Following the ceremony, guests are invited to stay and enjoy a community BBQ hosted by the local Rotary Club.
A meaningful and uplifting evening of recognition, music, and community spirit — everyone is warmly welcome to attend.
