The Mendooran Food Cycle returns, inviting visitors from all over the country to experience the beauty of spring in the Central West of NSW. Ride through vibrant wildflowers, bright yellow canola fields and scenic gravel trails while enjoying some of the region's finest local food, produce and hospitality. The weekend features a mix of guided and self-guided cycling experiences suitable for a range of abilities, with many of the rides led by experienced local cyclists. Popular favourites returning this year include rides through the Goonoo Forest, the Pop-Up Denmire Café, Black Gate Distillery, The Bee Farmer, Tastes of Mendooran Dinner and the Dunedoo Gran Fondo. New experiences for 2026 include scenic loop rides via Yarragrin Farm and its historic woolshed, hands-on weaving workshops using local materials, soap-making demonstrations and more. There are plenty of experiences for the cyclist and non-cyclist alike. Visitors are encouraged to make a long weekend of it, with opportunities to ride into Mendooran via surrounding villages and enjoy farm lunches, local brunch stops and country hospitality along the way. Camping, tent hire and other accommodation options are available, but early bookings are recommended. A special feature this year is a return bicycle freight service from Lithgow station – no need to bring your car !
